"To me, running is freedom. Other than sleeping, it's the only time of day when you don't have to worry about anyone asking anything of you. It's just you and your thoughts." -Steve Cole |

Running has always given me a sense of accomplishment. Even when I played coach-pitch Little League, I was always proud of being able to steal more bases than anyone else. In middle school, when we had to run the mile in gym class, I always liked finishing at the front of the pack. By the time I got into high school, I didn't run competitively for school, but I always ran a few miles on my own in the evening. Since then, it's really grown into an obsession. I only time my runs maybe once a month or so, just to get a sense of my improvement. I really run for the peace of mind I get from it. It clears my head, and gives me a chance to get away from everything, even if it's just twenty minutes a day. On the days I lift weights, I usually only run one mile because I'm exhausted. On off days at the gym, I run usually 3 or 4 miles. I have a pipe dream to someday run a marathon. If I do that, it'll have to be after I graduate. With the diet I eat at school there's no way I could train for that kind of competition. |

Nobody takes pictures
of me when I'm running, so I had to use them.
