I grew up in Madison, CT and I'm pretty sure no one could grow up in a better town. It's a small town on the Connecticut shoreline, about half an hour east of New Haven. In the summer, the economy is based around tourism. Even though it's really good for the town, we don't really like the summer people who come in and think they own the place. The Boston Post Road runs through our downtown, and it's lined with a million coffee shops (actually, there are nine), restaurants, the fire house, and R.J. Julia's, a bookstore that's won all kinds of awards for being the best independent bookstore in the country. And then of course, we've got the beach, which is the real reason people come to Madison.
