The goal of PC Libertarians is to provide
a forum for libertarian discussion on campus, and to promote libertarian
principles and candidates through educational and political activity.
Our members claim a diverse array of political backgrounds
and levels of experience. We aim to both introduce the libertarian
philosophy to newcomers and provide opportunities to work in support
of that philosophy. We are a "small-L" group, emphasizing values
and ideas, and as such
are
not
affiliated
with
the Libertarian
Party or any other party. Further, we generally do not endorse
specific candidates, although members are encouraged to get involved
with libertarian-leaning campaigns that interest them. Our role in
the process is to facilitate this involvement rather than mandate
it.
Through
discussions, movies, issue-based activism, campaign work, and
promotion of political awareness and participation,
we hope to foster a commitment to freedom and the Constitution.
