Bass Lake

Bass Lake is an hour out of Fresno, California. Bass Lake is one of my favorite places because my family has a cabin up there and we go every summer, and each Summer I look forward to going. However I was especially looking forward to going this summer because my friends we coming to see visit. They had never been to a Lake before and I was anxious to show them around. They were amazed by the beautiful view and serenity that the lake brought to the campers. But these were only small aspects of the big picture, Bass Lake offers so much more.

Since we have a cabin at Bass Lake my parents bought Jet Skis this past year. They are 2005 Yamaha Waverunners VX1100 Delux. They were voted 2005 watercraft of the year in the Sports Illustrated. However this does not compare to the way they ride. That Sunday afternoon Mary, Jen, and I hit the the water going 50 mph across the smooth lake. As tradition in my family, "the guests" on the lake are required to race "their host" from one end of the lake back to the other end. However, because my friends were unfamiliar with riding jet skis Jen and I were forced to race my mom and Mary. This resulted in a victory for us and a very wet loss for Mary and my mom. Traditionally, After the race the loser has to buy lunch for everyone at Forks. Forks is a restaurant on the lake known for incredible cheeseburgers and delicious milkshakes. However, they are infamous for their Bazooka Bubble Gum that they give to you with your meal. Mary and Jen loved the lakeside restaurant. It was a good way to finish up the day.
