Meeting #1 9/22/04

Welcome Back: Greetings and introductions

Attendance Policy: 3 unexcused absences will result in suspension. All Biology Society Members are allowed three unexcused absences.  These absences can be from meetings, where attendence is required from all members. They can also be from events to which a member has signed up, but did not show up. Any email to our Vice President counts as an excuse, no reason for absence is needed in the email.  After the third unexcused absence, the member will be inactivated from the Biology Society. While inactivated, members will not recieve group emails, or have access to the Angel site.  Members can be reactivated at the discretion of the Biology Society officers.

Fundraisers: We will be having our annual candy fundraiser again and are open to any suggestions. We also want to do a fundraiser for a charity of your choice.

Upcoming Events: Student-Faculty Social at the Abbey Friday October 1 st Apple Picking at Sunset Orchards Sunday October 10 th

Plans for the Year: Student-Faculty sporting event (possibly bowling), hiking trip, aquarium, whale watching. Tell us what you want to do.

New Idea: One of the club members suggested making Bio Society t-shirts. What do you think?

Meeting #3 10/20/04

Fundraisers: We have ordered the candy and live strong bracelets. They should be in by the end of the month.

Upcoming Events:

• Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular at the Roger Williams Park Zoo, Sunday October 24th. The rate is $12 per person and we will cover half the cost.
• Journal Discussion with Dr. Arevalo, Thursday October 28 th (We still need an article)
